The Windsor-Severance Fire Protection District is not accepting applications
for any career
position at this time.
The application process
is now closed for 2008. We are not accepting applications for volunteer
firefighters for 2008, but continue to accept applications throughout
the year for next year’s process. If you are interested in 2009,

Minimum Requirements to become an In-District Volunteer:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Live within the Fire District Boundaries
- Complete and return an application
- Have Colorado State Firefighter 1 or be willing to complete a 16 week
academy to become Colorado Firefighter 1 certified.
- Successfully complete the "Physical Performance Assessment"
- Successfully pass the oral board interview panel
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background and driver's
license checks.
Minimum Requirements to become an Out of District
Shift Volunteer:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Complete and return an application
- Must already possess Colorado State Firefighter 1 and EMT-B
certifications
- Successfully complete the "Physical Performance Assessment"
- Successfully pass the oral board interview panel
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background and driver's
license checks.
- Be willing to work four (4) ten hour shifts each month
